Happy Easter, Spring has Sprung and GeoCaching
Happy Easter to those of you who are believers...  For those who aren't, hope you are having great spring weather, and have been able to get out and enjoy it.

We started the 2006 GeoCaching season yesterday and hit five caches.  Two of them were pretty long walks, well, pretty long for me.  Last year my back would hurt pretty damned bad after about 1/4 of a mile.  I would get numb from my lower chest down into my legs.  The farther down the pain and numbness went into my legs, the harder it was to walk.  We used some of our tax return this year to purchase a treadmill.  I have been diligently using it, as has Michelle.  I will usually walk a mile to a mile and a half in the morning for about 20-30 minutes before heading off to work.  On weekends I try to get in 2-3 miles on one of the days.  I have been using the treadmill 3-5 times per week; it usually depends on how my ankle is feeling.  I slipped on the ice back in January and really messed it up.  I am still feeling the effects of that and wondering if I should see a doctor.  I keep thinking that, in another week it won't hurt anymore, but it has been 3+ months now.

Anyway...  Walking over terrain is much more difficult than the smooth treadmill!  I still have a problem with numbness, but now I can go well over 1/2 of a mile before feeling any effects.  Usually, if I stop and sit for just a couple of minutes, the numbness subsides and I can go again, without any pain.  When I get to the max numb, it feels like I'm wearing 50 pound ankle weights, haha.  We probably walked about 5 miles in total yesterday.  Even Michelle, who normally does 4-5 miles on the treadmill with an incline, said her legs were burning her!  The treadmill, while it is an expensive investment (I'm a big dude, we needed a beefy model), has definitely proved to be a well worth it!!

A BP Road Trip!
BP and I are about to embark on a search for beer!  Not just any one beer, but 120 beers from 30 different breweries!  Ok, I have to be honest, it really isn't a search, we have a map, and we know the hours they will be open.  But, it is a BP road trip

The definition of a BP road trip:
A time when the BP's get away from wives and kids and do something they want to do and not something they are forced to do.  Their direction is not dictated to them by the soft and squishy creatures they happen to share a bed with!
Wish us luck for safe travels and hope for some good camera phone pictures!

And no, this is not an April Fools joke, we really do share beds with soft squishy creatures!!  Oh yeah, we're staying at a Holiday Inn Express...  Chances are good we'll come home brain surgeons!!

Keep a tight one... (Thanks Jimmy)
