Ordained Like Frank
A couple of dudes I work with, and one who used to work with us, have partnered with a guy in Rhinelander and formed a band.  The have named themselves Ordained Like Frank.  I tried, tried like hell, for many, many months to get them to take on the name Four Honkeys Hung Like Donkeys, but they didn't like it, oh well...  So, last Friday, May 19th, they played their first public gig!  They opened for a group called Dump Truck  They have started up a MySpace account, you can find them here.  They play some Nirvana, Green Day, and Rage Against The Machine (not in public, yet).

Now that I have showcased them here, they'll be famous, and I bet none of them buys me a friggin beer...

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers of the world!

I don't think my Mom looks at this site, but, if you do lurk out here to see what no-good thing your kid is doing, have a Happy Mother's Day!!

I imbibed quite a few beers last evening while setting up my newly acquired aquarium.  I bought a used 55 gallon setup from Nic and he delivered the remaining pieces that I haven't been able to haul home.  I will get some pics out here, someday...  Right now it has only 40 pounds of substrate on the bottom and a tank full of saltwater holding it down.  BP even came over with some much needed hose clamps AND beer and then stuck around for the drinking!  We watched the race, setup the tank, drank some beer, and ate some pizza.  It was a good night.

I was really tired and headed off to bed without taking my Melatonin, which I use for insomnia.  Well, that was a mistake!  I slept like a rock for about 3 hours.  I woke up about 2:30 AM and stared at the ceiling until 5:30 AM.  I finally decided to get up, answered some e-mail that has been laying around, read part of the newspaper, and then made Michelle her Mother's Day breakfast when she got home from work at 6:30 AM.  I made her a big old bacon and cheddar cheese omelet.

So, here it is, 8:50 AM on a Sunday.  I feel like I have put in a full day, haha.  Time for a nap!!

Catching up!
Wow, it has been a while, huh?  What a turd I am!  It seems like there is always something going on that keeps me from posting out here.  I really, really need to get my butt back in front of my websites code and work on those comments and a couple other things like the archiving.  I figure it is mostly functional, so the hell with it.  Not having comments is kinda nice, BP and DKHT can't tag team me and humiliate me in a public forum, haha.  My goal is to have them done by March of 2008.  I think I can meet that deadline:)  Now on with catching you up, in no particular order...

This weekend is a big deal for Sammi!  She has been attending confirmation classes at the church for the last couple of years and will be getting confirmed this Sunday.  I let Michelle manage all aspects of the kids religious education.  I have grudgingly accepted my role as chauffer on the Sunday's that Michelle worked.  Mikey and I would usually go eat breakfast or goof off.  My parent's forced that crap down our throats as kids and put us through a few years of hell with some whacko religious group who held church in their friggin living room.  As far as I know that haven't yet brewed that magical batch of Kool-Aid.  In any case, I never tell my kids that religion is bad, I want them to figure it out for themselves.  Above all, I want them to be good people, first and foremost.  If pearly gates are our destiny, being good ought to at least get you an interview.  So, good job Sammi!!  The whole family is proud of you for all your efforts and for not giving up!

My back has been kind of fubar'd as of late thanks to some warehouse work.  I won't get into it for fear of being dooced.  It is starting to get better and the company is going to keep me out of that stuff in the future.

The Eagle River Beer Festival is getting closer!!!  36 days and 19 hours as of this writing!  Bill and I have been keeping busy with modifications to the website, go check it out!  We are up to 20 breweries now and 9 of them are new!  One, Brewery Ommegang will be sending product from New York state!  I am really looking forward to it!!

I took on a new web site to host, Pro Vintage Racing, has decided to host with me.  It helps that their webmaster also has a site hosted with me.  Hey, I will take business whenever I can!  I don't do anything with the design of their pages, so don't tell me what you think of it, haha.

Treadmill stuff had been going real good up until I jacked my back.  Last time I was on it I did 2 miles in 33 minutes.  Was jogging and walking and worked up a real good sweat.  I will get back on the treadmill this coming Monday.  I prefer to walk in the morning, so I usually get up about 5:45 and by the time I get my bucket of water to drink and let the dog out, I am on by 5:55.  I try to stop by 6:30 so I can get in the shower and get ready for work.  After one stressful day of work I jumped on and did some running and that felt good.  Now mind you, my idea of running is to go about 5 MPH for maybe 1/10th of a mile and then walk until my heart rate gets back into the 130's.  Then I repeat.

Oh yeah, this is cool!  I found an MP3 site run by a Russian dude/comrade/company where you can download DIRT CHEAP MP3's.  You have to seed your account with money from a credit card.  No worries here, I am on my second deposit of $25.00 and have had no problems with them.  Purchasing credits goes through a company called Chronopay in The Netherlands.  I figure if anything ever goes bad with them, at worst I am out $50.00 bucks from the credit card company.  And, if all else fails, I will send Dolf to play non-stop punk music at their office, hahaha.  Here is the site, AllofMP3.com.  I did read some of their site, but once it got big into the legalese, I said screw it, I am going to keep downloading.  You can get an entire album for about a buck and a half.  The following was taken from their site regarding the legality of it all.

Is it legal to download music from AllOFMP3.com?

I bought a 55 gallon fish tank setup from Nic.  It will be pretty cool once we get it over here and setup.  I am waiting for some live rock to come into work so we can get it going.  It'll be a saltwater tank with some cool fish and stuff.  Still not sure if I wanna go down the whole coral path.  Maybe if I can keep some $30.00 fish living for a few months I may brave some coral.  Once it is setup I will post some pictures.

I have been working with a newly found cousin (via the Internet) from the Madison area on getting a Huml Family Reunion planned for Lake Geneva on June 24th of this year.  Ginnie has been a great resource for getting in touch with other Huml's!!  She has filled so many voids in my own genealogy.  She is a little bit older than my father and knows everyone in the family.  I have setup a forums area on the web site for all the Huml's.  They pretty much registered and don't say anything, not like a typical Huml!  You usually can't shut us up!!  I am really looking forward to that.  My sisters and dad are pretty excited too.  My dad hasn't seen many of these people since he was a child.  The closest we ever got to a family reunion on the Huml side was my dad and his brother getting together in the summertime to have parties and the cousins would all play on the farm.

Crap, that is a lot of stuff!!  I think I am forgetting something...

Keep a tight one... (Thanks Jimmy)
