| Oh man, I wanna new contract!! | ||
Have you seen this story? Apparently, the United Autoworkers union allows 48 minutes of bathroom breaks, per shift, for workers at a Ford SUV plant in Wayne, MI. 48 minutes? Per shift!?! Holy crap!! I would venture to guess that I don't spend 48 minutes in the crapper at work over the course of an entire week or longer. Sure, there are days, when doing battle with the porcelain can be a little time consuming (keep some raisins in your desk drawer). Good God, if I spent 48 minutes in the bathroom during my working shift, I would expect my employer to raise hell. Now, that said, I know of a couple past co-workers, who, if they read this, will be sending applications to Ford Motor Company in Wayne, MI. I can see it now, they'll have to swipe their badges to get into the crapper stall and swipe again to leave. |

| Some new moblog posts | ||
I haven't had much to say out here lately, but did manage to get a few posts onto the MoBlog. Mostly beer, but what do you expect from me, hehe. Keep an eye on Wilma as she comes up into the gulf. Man, what a year. My cousin Don, down in Houston said he was all ready for Rita with plenty of batteries and beer only to get a little rain and wind. Michelle is at that one year mark now and going through some blood tests and x-rays to make sure she is cancer free. Next week she has a couple more appointments and will get another radioiodine scan to see if she is free and clear for another 6 months. Keep your fingers crossed and all them positive thoughts flowing her way. Also, in the positive thoughts department... My Mom's husband, Russ, was diagnosed with colon cancer. Thankfully he is stage 1! They did surgery and removed about half his colon and some lymph nodes. He won't have to go through chemo or radiation, which is really cool! I heard he came home on Saturday and was back to work already earlier this week. That dude is nuts!! We're thinking of you, Russ!! |

| Fall colors, GeoCaching, and Llamas, oh my! | ||
Sunday we were up in Three Lakes, slumming. Took some pics at a local lake in town and at Thunder Lake just outside of town. We grabbed a cache placed by some 5th graders at the elementary school. We had a travel bug that needed to get moving and this was the perfect place to make the drop. We spotted some Llamas on the way home while taking the newly renovated HWY 32. Man, that new road is sweet!! No more 20 MPH curves (which were kinda fun in the pocket rocket). I almost wish I was working in Eagle River again so I could take that route. What am I saying!!??!! I take that back!! Here is a link to the pics. I used ACDSee to create the page and resize the images. I am really liking the Canon S2 camera. I have plans to get a wide angle and telephoto converter, someday. Whenever Mama appropriates the necessary funding, hehe. |

| Rain, fall colors, snow, floods... | ||
Lotsa junk going on with the weather but not much happening here. Work is busy these days as we get closer to a few deadlines. We've gotten 2 gazillion inches of rain in the last couple of days. Lake Huml, at the end of the driveway, is getting deep!! Need to deploy the pontoons on the Yota before making an attempted crossing. Fall colors are in full bloom and the leaves are coming off the trees quickly with all the wind and rain. There is a chance for snow this week, cool!! I saw that Billings, MT had 10 inches of the white gold. We'll go from highs in the 80's on Tuesday to the 40's tomorrow. Posted some pics in the MoBlog. I nuked the Radio.Blog last week. Don't think anybody noticed:) Only got one hit last month and that was probably me at work. |

Keep a tight one... (Thanks Jimmy)
