| Sam started driving... | ||
Clear the roads within a 30 mile radius of Crandon! Sam had her first driving experience yesterday. She has to drive for 6 hours and observe for 6 hours. She did well, according to her. She said the instructor only had to hit the brakes once when Sam failed to slow down enough when speed limit changed when coming back into town. I admit it, I do the same stuff... 55 right through downtown! Survival of the fittest, I say! Damn good for her!! haha I want her to get all the "school training" before I start taking her out to show her my way, haha. Bad enuf I am most likely gonna have to get the clutch replaced on old Yota once I start with the stick-shift training, haha. |

| Yet another birthday!! | ||
This time, it is the bosses birthday! Better not forget this one!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!! It sucks because she had to work today... I think there should be a law, nobody should have to get up at 5:30 AM on their birthday and then work a 12 hour day, haha. The company I work for has really crappy benefits, but they do give you a paid day off for your birthday. Speaking of Michelle, since it is HER day, everyone needs to send positive mojo her way... She has put her name into the hat for a Corporal position on the night shift. She should know the results in a couple of weeks. I will post a follow up. So, again, the kids and I say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY/MOM, WE LOVE YOU!! |

| Gobble Gobble Gobble WATCH OUT!!!! | ||
Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope y'all have something to be thankful for this day! As has been the tradition the last 5 or 6 years or so, we're going over to BP South's for eats! Michelle made up some pies last night and we got some other stuff we'z takin with us. Probably get a couple of decent six-packs of microbrew too, I think the boozer is open today. If not, may be stuck drinking The Beast, if that's all that BP has stashed away in the crisper. I am guilty of image reuse... Used this one before, but I like it, haha. ![]() Now for the WATCH OUT!!!! Sam has gotten her temporary drivers license. If you live around Crandoom, you might NOT be safe!! When your kids start driving... Yeah, that will make you feel old! If you've come to this page and found it slow or even unavailable in the past couple of days, I apologize. Between cpanel updates, incredibly high use of the servers resources, spam, and a hosting company who seems to be feeling growing pains, I think everything has been resolved. I will admit it, and this might play out more in my personal blog in the coming days, but I think my time being a web host is running out. I have until March, well, actually February to figure out what I want to do. My pages will be here for ever and ever... My customer's pages may very well be on other servers in the coming months. Hey, Crawdaddy??? Send me your personal email address!! Use the link at the bottom of the nav bar to drop me a line. You're now gone from Meriter and that was the only account I had. Happy gobble gobble gobble day everyone!! |

| Poll and Stuffs | ||
Ok, so I haven't updated the poll in a while... There is a new one, lemme know what you think. Mike and BP's birthdays are now past and wifey's is right around the corner. Mike had a nice birthday! He had some of his little dude friends sleep over and they pretty much just tore up the downstairs... I was in max freak out mode thinking something was gonna go flying through my big screen tv or that there would be 55 gallons of saltwater on the carpet. Michelle took them roller bladding the next day in Rhinelander. Mike isn't big on sweets and he wanted Rice Krispie treats instead of a cake for him and his friends. On his actual birthday, Michelle made a cherry pie, again, requested by Mike. Oh yeah! I had two nephew's who also have birthdays this month too! Tommy and Nicky turn 13 and 12, respectively, this month. They live down in the southern part of the state, we'll see them in a month at xmas time! Hope ya both had a nice birthday!! My sister sent me an email and said that Tommy got his deer, a small buck, good job, Tommy!! I have been enjoying keeping a separate place to blog other than this place. I like using this for more of a family type place and leave my depraved writings in a separate area, haha. Sending cell phone pics is easy and sending posts via email is real nice. On the weight loss front... My last weigh in, unscheduled, because I was so curious because my pants were fitting so loose, haha... I am down a total of 66 so far. Two shirt sizes smaller now and about 5-6 inches lost on the waist. Michelle's uniform is so baggy too, haha, good thing she gets a fresh uniform allowance in December!! New BDU's for her. She sold one of her larger uniform shirts to a girl she works with, so that was cool! We both have been punching new holes in our belts, haha. Sam is doing good too! She wears such baggy crap that it is harder to tell, but I can see it in her face, she continues to lose weight too. |

| It's gonna be a good November! | ||
Unlike last November... Last November was filled with many ups and downs with Michelle's health. She had her three-year post cancer checkup and everything checked out A-O-K! It was good news to get! I have to admit that I have a pessimistic side, so... I should work more on that optimists point of view! Moved into our new digs at work! Sweet! Much nicer! Windows, space, privacy, a bathroom! The guys at work are threatening to use my bathroom early in the morning and drop a deuce in there, but I'll kill 'em all if I find any skid marks!! I took a pic of the office with the camera phone and sent it to my blog. I need to find a nice big Linux or Tux flag for the office. If anyone finds one online, lemme know about it. And yes, the office is plumbed for a wet bar, just needs to be finished. Wonder if I can get that into the 2008 budget??? |

| I have been toying with the idea... | ||
I have forever wanted to find more time to do some additional coding to this simple little blog application. But, as of late, my desires to write code in my free time is fading, and fading fast. While homegrown code is good, cuz it's yours, it's a bunch of time sucking BS that I really don't wanna deal with any longer. I have been thinking about swapping this site out with Blogger.com or some other application like MT or WordPress. The problem with the later two applications is that they are way more than I need, or want. I have setup WP on a couple of domains that I never do anything with. If I had to pick between MT and WP, I would pick WP. Another thing that I am always mindful of is that this technically is a "family" site. I don't find that I can always write about what I want and say it the way I would like to say it. I think, maybe, I need my own forum. I have owned PaulHuml.com for a long time and over the years it has either been parked here or had some weird stuff running on it, haha. I setup a new domain for PaulHuml.com on my server and then setup Blogger.com to FTP the files back to my server. Now I can post from e-mail, from the web, or from my phone. Best of all, it will be separate of this "family" site. My kids hear me talk like the old truck driver I am... If that comes out on the PaulHuml.com, so be it... Something I usually try to avoid here. I will be replacing my link on the left with a direct link to my spot. So for those of you who only like typing in Huml.org, you can still do that, but go ahead, click on the Paul link. I'd even like it if Michelle would like her own blog, it would be funny to hear her rip on me, haha. I am a huge user of RSS. One of the things I wanted to do was add an RSS feed to this application, I used to have one, but since I moved to PHP I just never got around to it. If you use RSS, you can subscribe to the feed over there. I will continue to post here, but the posts will probably be more related to the entire family and activities or ?????? |

Keep a tight one... (Thanks Jimmy)
